Stan Clyde Frankie came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch with such bad hoof problems he could hardly walk. His hooves were untrimmed and he suffered from thrush, a bacterial infection. He and his companion, Opie, were both underweight and severely neglected when a passerby noticed them on a farm in Jefferson County. Frankie was so crippled, in fact, that once he was rescued, he was directly transported to the hospital. Frankie has recovered fully and spends his days running and kicking up his heels, waiting to be adopted into a caring home. Opie was not so lucky. Opie did not respond to tireless rehabilitation efforts and, unfortunately, had to be euthanized as a result of his initial neglect. StanClyde Frankie Ike Sydney Oliver
