Baaaaaad at yoga? Not a problem! Yoga lovers of all skill levels are invited to join the Humane Society of Missouri at its Longmeadow Rescue Ranch for a morning yoga class with adorable, energetic baby goats led by instructor Michelle Menos with Agape Yoga Studio. Attendees can expect the “kids” to say hello throughout the class and even jump on and off their backs throughout the session.
After yoga, interested adopters are encouraged to stick around and learn more about owning a goat. This winter, Longmeadow welcomed 17 baby goats who are now awaiting a forever home. Goats make great pet companions; they enjoy playing, roaming outside and receiving affection from their owner.
The 11 a.m. session is sold out, but tickets are still available for the 1 p.m. session.
Note: Participants must be at least 13 years of age and bring their own yoga mats and should dress for the elements—event space is covered but not climate-controlled, and flooring is a mix of dirt and sand.
Groundwork Sessions at Longmeadow: Advanced Series
Every Sunday in March from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will offer April 5th as a makeup session.
Groundwork classes focus on the study of horse behavior and body language to improve
your horsemanship through communication and understanding of the horse. Classes use natural horsemanship training techniques for the ultimate goal of developing a calmer, more trusting and more willing partner in your horse. Horses are taught in a relaxed, well-organized environment with small class sizes. Students will work in pairs with assigned Longmeadow horses, supervised at all times by the instructor. The advanced class is designed to teach you how to communicate with horses of varying ages, breeds, temperaments and skill levels.
PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
