Tumbleweed was an emaciated horse, left to die on a property in western Missouri. She was too weak to stand on her own so our Animal Cruelty Task Force rescue team carefully loaded her onto a sled to pull her onto a trailer. She was rushed to an equine emergency clinic. Longmeadow staff gave her loving, intensive care, helping her to gain over 200 pounds needed to reach adequate weight for her age. Tumbleweed is now a Barn Buddy ambassador, teaching others about Longmeadow’s mission of rescue and rehabilitation.
