Barn Buddies Animal Ambassadors to Represent the Ranch at Bark in the Park

March 30, 2008

Longmeadow Rescue Ranch Closed May 17. Barn Buddies Animal Ambassadors to represent the ranch at Bark in the Park.

Longmeadow Rescue Ranch, the horse and farm animal division of the Humane Society of Missouri, will be closed on Saturday, May 17 so that the Barn Buddy Animal Ambassadors from the Ranch may participate in the shelter’s annual Bark in the Park event at Forest Park in St. Louis. Mama Llama, Mini Moo, Scott (a horse), Pepe (a sheep), Quackers (a duck) and Paris (a hen) will tell their rescue stories (through their human interpreters!) and let Bark in the Park attendees get up close and personal with these special farm animals.

Regularly scheduled open house hours at Longmeadow will resume on Saturday, May 24 from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. Please click here for a list of adoptable horses and farm animals. Click here for more information on the Barn Buddy sponsorship program.

About Bark in the Park:
Bark in the Park is the Humane Society of Missouri’s largest pet event of the year. Pet owners and pet lovers alike are invited to bring their families and their dogs to Cricket Field in Forest Park for a one-mile dog walk and an afternoon of fun, food and contests on Saturday, May 17. Proceeds from Bark in the Park go to the Dr. Doolittle Fund that provides much needed veterinary medical care to the pets at the shelter so they can be adopted.
