Gordon Younkin chose Zalk Rest Well Stables for his Eagle Scout model project.
The replica of Zalk Rest Well Stables comes complete with a lift-off roof, several stalls with windows that open to the outside and working sliding doors. Gordon’s model even includes horses with halters, lead ropes and blankets. 35 mm film canisters were used for water pails and small hay stems mimicked hay bales.
Becky Pemberton, ranch educator and animal specialist, will be using Gordon’s model for future education programs at the Ranch.
