Twist of Fate: The Miracle Colt and His Friends, Written by Missouri Author Chris Stuckenschneider

Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is sharing the incredible story of Twist of Fate – better known by his nickname “Twister” – the miracle colt who was born after his mother survived a tragic I-44 trailer horse accident in September 2006. Forty-two horses were bound for a slaughter house when fate intervened and the trailer struck a median and overturned. Twenty-five horses and one hinny survived that accident. On April 18, 2007, one of those horses gave birth to a healthy, beautiful colt, appropriately named, Twist of Fate.

Twister, who is now well-known for his artistic abilities and whose paintings are in collections all over the world, was immortalized in the book Twist of Fate: The Miracle Colt and His Friends, written by Chris Stuckenschneider and beautifully illustrated by Kevin Belford.
