In September, members from Purina Feed Greatness, Budweiser, and A Home For Every Horse teamed up and came to Longmeadow for a day of volunteering!
Over 100 employees from these three organizations joined our staff and animals for a long day of hard ranch work! With their help, our paddock fences were painted, our pasture fences were cleared of brush and broken limbs, and our horses got brand new hay feeders. One of the Budweiser Clydesdales, named Champ, took a field trip out to visit with our staff and take photos. Viktoria, one of the Clydesdale handlers and a former Longmeadow employee, surprised the staff as well! It was so great for us to see an old friend, and to meet Champ!
The fun continued into the next evening, when Longmeadow and Humane Society of Missouri staff and volunteers were invited to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery for a little happy hour following the day of volunteering. We were given a tour of the Clydesdale stables (where we saw Viktoria again!) and even got to see the famous Budweiser Clydesdale Hitch! At the end of the night, we were generously given donated bags of horse grain and Purina Feed Coupons.
It was an exciting couple days for Longmeadow, and we are so grateful to be involved with such amazing organizations who share the same mission as we do: horse rehabilitation and rescue! Thank you Purina, Budweiser, and A Home For Every Horse for all of your generosity and passion you show for horse rescues everywhere!
