Macintosh

Macintosh lived at the Ranch for quite a while, first arriving in 2017. He was initially adopted for a short period before being returned to Longmeadow (due to no fault of his own) and has been here waiting for a home ever since.

This boy is more of a dog than a pig. He could sit, spin, and loved to spend his days basking in the sun and going on his weekly Ranch walks (thanks to his favorite volunteer, Mary Lou). Macintosh was full of personality and loved to greet his visitors at his gate with his oinks and tail wags.

Emily fell in love with Macintosh after her many visits to the Ranch while she was helping us train our horses. She had always wanted a pig…and she found one! In November 2023, we loaded up the big guy onto Emily’s trailer, and the two of them went home to start their new lives together – Emily’s new life with a pig and Mac’s new life with the best adopted parents EVER.

Macintosh held a special place in the hearts of staff and volunteers and will be missed, but we are all so excited that he found such a great home!
