Debuts New Book: Twist of Fate: The Miracle Colt and His Friends Written by Missouri Author
Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is celebrating the second birthday of Twist of Fate, the miracle colt who was born after his mother survived the tragic I-44 trailer horse accident in September 2006.
Forty-two horses were bound for a slaughter house when fate intervened and the trailer struck a median and overturned. Twenty-five horses and one hinny survived that accident. On April 18, 2007, one of those horses gave birth to a healthy, beautiful colt, appropriately named, Twist of Fate.
To celebrate “Twister’s” birthday and the release of a new book Twist of Fate: The Miracle Colt and His Friends, written by Washington Missourian columnist Chris Stuckenschneider, Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is taking Twister on a tour of Missouri. Twister and Stuckenschneider will participate in book readings at book stores and schools.
Purchase the book at any Humane Society of Missouri Gift Shop.
