Visit the Barn Buddies at Wolf Fest!

Wolf Fest 2014, the Endangered Wolf Center’s annual open house, runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. Admission is just $25 a carload. No reservations are necessary.

The theme again will be nature and conservation. Among the exhibitors will be the World Bird Sanctuary, Longmeadow Rescue Ranch Barn Buddies, the Missouri Department of Conservation, Shaw Nature Reserve, the Missouri Parks Association, Wildlife Rescue Center, the Saint Louis Zoo, the Butterfly House and the Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary.

Throughout the day, guests can tour the animal enclosure area and see and photograph the Mexican wolves, red wolves, maned wolves, swift foxes and African painted dogs that live here.

Wolf Fest is a day of food, drink, music, play and great fun! There will be games and activities for children, including a bounce house and climbing wall.

The Celeste Ruwwe Gift Shop will be open throughout the day, and a silent auction will be held. In addition, the Missouri Wildflowers Nursery and the West County Woodcarvers Club will have items for sale.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.

Wolf Fest will be held at the Endangered Wolf Center, which is located on the grounds of Washington University’s Tyson Research Center, 6750 Tyson Valley Road, Eureka, Mo., 63025. The Center is off Interstate 44′s Exit 269 (Beaumont-Antire Road Exit) on the north side of the highway.
