Little Buddy
All of the goats in her herd showed multiple signs of neglect, including internal and external parasites and extremely overgrown hooves. Upon intake, we saw that Little Buddy’s front right leg was deformed. Our vets believed it was from a previously untreated injury. Because of the deformity, Little Buddy had to get frequent corrective hoof trimmings by our trained staff members.
After a few months of care, Little Buddy’s personality began to shine. She was one of the friendliest goats from the rescued herd, and didn’t mind the extra attention and love she got from staff members. Then, during one of her many trips to the vet, Millie (one of the vet staff members!!) fell in love with her! She called us soon after, put Little Buddy on hold, and the rest is history.
Little Buddy went home in September 2023 to a new herd of goats, where she will get to spend the rest of her life with Millie and her family. We are SO happy to see her story continue with love and care.
